The
Quarry Revived
Though its industrial
life was relatively short-lived, the Cement Works -- as natives always called it -- left a brief but fascinating chapter to
flavor Yankton’s heritage. Like other remnants of history, though, it was too unique to be forgotten completely, and
that’s why The Quarry restaurant was established for your personal pleasure.
As this vignette from yesterday
reveals, you’re not dining in style at just another scenic overlook -- you’re sitting in a little piece of the
past!
